The Role:

As an Art & Design Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity and helping students explore a range of artistic techniques, materials, and styles.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Art & Design lessons.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress.
  • Encouraging creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Supporting students in developing practical and theoretical artistic skills.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and department.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art & Design in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A passion for creativity and education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
