Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is an opportunity for an experienced TA or education professional who enjoys working directly with pupils and supporting their academic, social and emotional development.

You will work alongside class teachers to help pupils access learning, participate confidently in classroom activities and make progress across the curriculum.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils individually, in small groups and within the classroom.
• Assisting teachers with the delivery of planned learning activities.
• Providing additional support with phonics, reading, writing, maths and other curriculum areas.
• Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
• Supporting children who require additional educational or pastoral assistance.
• Monitoring pupil engagement and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils during break, lunch and wider school activities where required.

What we're looking for...

The school would suit someone who:

• Has previous experience working with primary-aged children.
• Understands the role of a teaching assistant within a classroom environment.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Is patient, reliable and consistent in their approach.
• Can follow teacher direction while also showing initiative when supporting pupils.
• Holds or is willing to obtain the appropriate safeguarding and DBS clearances.
