Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about their subject and committed to helping students develop their confidence, literacy skills and academic potential.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their skills in English Language and Literature.

You will create a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate, challenge themselves and develop a genuine appreciation for English.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons

  • Teaching across KS3 and KS4

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners

  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress

  • Developing students' reading, writing and analytical skills

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the English department

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting

  • Has strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature

  • Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons

  • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential

  • Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues

  • Has a positive, enthusiastic and adaptable approach
