The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you could be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs depending on the school and setting. This may include autism, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, communication and interaction needs, complex needs and pupils with EHCPs.

You will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and helping pupils make progress both academically and personally.

Depending on the setting, you may work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, families and other professionals to support individual pupils and ensure their needs are met effectively.

We are keen to hear from teachers who are patient, adaptable and committed to helping every pupil reach their potential. Previous SEN experience is highly beneficial, but we are also happy to speak with mainstream teachers who are interested in developing their experience within SEN education.
