Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop their skills in English Language and Literature whilst supporting them to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons, creating a positive learning environment and promoting high standards of achievement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress

  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students

  • Creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment

  • Promoting high expectations of behaviour and achievement

  • Supporting students to develop confidence in reading, writing and communication

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting

  • Possess strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature

  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress

  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be passionate about delivering engaging and inspiring lessons
