Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Wirral, Merseyside

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support secondary schools across the Wirral.

About the Role:

We are seeking LSAs to provide classroom and learning support to students across a range of subjects and abilities. You'll work alongside teachers to help students engage with their learning, develop confidence, and overcome barriers to progress.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support students in lessons, 1:1 and in small groups
* Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources
* Help students stay focused and engaged with their learning
* Provide support to students with additional learning needs
* Encourage positive behaviour and independent learning
* Build positive relationships with students and staff
* Support interventions and targeted learning activities
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
* A genuine passion for education and supporting students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A proactive and positive attitude
* A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

Desirable (but not essential):

* Previous experience working within a secondary school
* Experience supporting students with SEND or behavioural needs
* Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification
* Experience working in an education, youth work, sports, or childcare setting
