SEN Teaching Assistant - Nottinghamshire

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants across Nottinghamshire for a number of roles expected to start from January 2027.
We are working with primary schools looking for experienced and enthusiastic support staff to work with pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and learning difficulties.
Roles may include 1:1 support, small-group intervention work or supporting pupils within the classroom.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
Supporting children with learning, communication and emotional regulation
Helping pupils access classroom activities and the wider curriculum
Delivering targeted interventions and small-group support
Supporting behaviour using positive strategies
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
A patient, calm and supportive approach
Strong communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
Relevant TA or SEN qualifications are desirable but not essential where strong experience is demonstrated
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
Right to work in the UK
Rates of pay will depend on the nature of the role, relevant qualifications and previous SEN experience.
