Teaching Assistant - Nottinghamshire
January 2027 Start | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants across Nottinghamshire ahead of a busy January 2027.

We work with primary schools across the county and are looking for enthusiastic and reliable TAs who can support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Opportunities range from general classroom support to intervention work, small-group support and 1:1 roles.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities

  • Working with pupils individually and in small groups

  • Delivering targeted interventions

  • Supporting children with reading, phonics, maths and wider curriculum work

  • Helping pupils remain engaged and confident in their learning

  • Supporting behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment

  • Preparing classroom resources and assisting with general classroom organisation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills

  • A positive and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

  • Right to work in the UK

Rates of pay will depend on relevant qualifications, previous school-based experience and the responsibilities of the individual role.
