Level 4 Teaching Assistant - Nottinghamshire

Tradewind Recruitment is looking to speak with experienced Level 4 Teaching Assistants ahead of a number of vacancies expected across Nottinghamshire from January 2027.

We are working with primary schools looking for confident and experienced support staff who are comfortable taking on additional responsibility within the classroom.

These roles are ideal for experienced TAs who can work independently, deliver interventions and provide high-level support to teachers and pupils.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering structured interventions with individuals and small groups

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2

  • Leading learning activities under the direction of teaching staff

  • Supporting assessment and feeding back on pupil progress

  • Working with pupils who require additional academic or pastoral support

  • Supporting classroom behaviour and engagement

  • Providing cover and leading groups where appropriate to the individual role

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other members of the school team

Requirements:

  • Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant qualification

  • Strong previous experience working within a primary school

  • Confidence delivering interventions and supporting pupil progress

  • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum

  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for groups of pupils

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

  • Right to work in the UK

Rates of pay will reflect the increased level of responsibility and will depend on the candidate's Level 4 qualification, relevant school experience and the specific duties of the role.
