Complex Needs SEN Support Assistant - Warrington

Are you currently working in healthcare, residential care or support work and considering a move into education?

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for caring, patient and dependable individuals to join a complex needs SEN school in Warrington, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs.

You do not need previous school experience for this role. The school is particularly interested in people who already have experience supporting individuals with additional needs, disabilities, communication difficulties or personal care requirements.

Your experience from healthcare or support work can transfer extremely well into a specialist education setting.

What will the role involve?

  • Supporting pupils with complex learning and physical needs

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Assisting pupils with communication and engagement

  • Supporting mobility and physical needs where required

  • Providing personal care as part of the pupil's individual support

  • Helping pupils develop independence and life skills

  • Working alongside teachers, therapists and other support staff

  • Creating a safe, positive and encouraging environment

We'd love to hear from people with backgrounds in:

  • Healthcare Assistant / HCA work

  • Support work

  • Residential care

  • Children's or adult social care

  • Learning disability support

  • Autism support

  • Mental health support

  • Care homes

  • Complex care

  • NHS or community healthcare roles

You don't need to know everything about working in a school from day one. Transferable skills are taken into account, and you'll have access to training and CPD to help you develop your knowledge of working within SEND education.
