SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor - Enfield

November Start | £100-£120 per day | PAYE

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist secondary setting in Enfield, supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can build positive relationships, manage challenging behaviour and help pupils re-engage with their learning.

The role:

  • Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.

  • De-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behaviour.

  • Help implement behaviour plans and emotional regulation strategies.

  • Support pupils to engage in lessons and develop confidence.

  • Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience in an SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision.

  • Holds Team Teach training or has relevant positive behaviour management experience.

  • Is calm, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour.

  • Can build trust with young people while maintaining clear boundaries.

  • Is available to start ASAP.
