Year 4 Teaching Assistant (Class Interventions & 1:1 Support)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming, one-form-entry primary school situated on the outskirts of Wigan. They are looking for a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

This is a flexible, mixed role that offers great variety across the school day. Your time will be split between delivering targeted class-based academic interventions and providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 4.

1:1 Support: You will be working closely with a child who requires regular, structured breaks to help them regulate, refocus, and re-engage with their learning.

Class Interventions: Alongside your 1:1 responsibilities, you will support the class teacher by running small-group interventions to help bridge learning gaps and boost confidence across Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum subjects.

What We Are Looking For

Hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or a recognised equivalent in childcare/education).

Previous experience supporting children within a primary school setting.

A flexible, adaptable, and reliable work ethic with a positive, proactive attitude.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).

CV must cover full employment history from leaving continuous education
