We are working with a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton that is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil and help them thrive both academically and socially.

The Role

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Support the pupil's learning, engagement and progress in line with the class teacher's planning.
• Help implement individual learning strategies and activities tailored to the pupil's needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to ensure consistent support.
• Adapt your approach to help the pupil access learning and participate in classroom activities.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working in a school setting is essential.
• Has experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis or working with pupils who require additional support.
• Is patient, nurturing and confident building positive relationships with children.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff.
• Is reliable, flexible and committed to supporting pupils' individual needs.
