Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Primary Supply Teachers to work across a variety of mainstream primary schools throughout Lambeth. You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of welcoming and diverse primary schools throughout Lambeth. Each school offers its own unique environment, giving you the chance to gain valuable experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 while developing your professional network.
Role Summary
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will provide high-quality classroom cover for planned and unplanned teacher absences. Assignments may include day-to-day supply, short-term bookings and longer-term opportunities depending on your availability and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the class teacher
- Teach across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 depending on experience and school requirements
- Maintain classroom routines and behaviour expectations
- Support pupils to remain engaged and make progress during lessons
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups
- Complete routine classroom duties including registers and handovers
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures
- Provide feedback to school staff at the end of each assignment
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous teaching experience within UK primary schools
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Good knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons
- A flexible, reliable and professional approach
- The ability to travel to schools across Lambeth and arrive by approximately 8:15am-8:30am
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting children's wellbeing
Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced primary teachers.
Pay and Progression
This role offers £155-£165 per day PAYE, dependent on experience and individual assignment requirements. £155 for ECTs and £160+ for Qualified Teachers and you can acheieve £165 if agreed to travel beyond your preferred distance.
