🔑 The Role

As a School Caretaker, your responsibilities may include:

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school site.
• Ensuring classrooms, corridors and communal areas are safe and well maintained.
• Opening and closing school buildings, including securing the premises when required.
• Completing routine site inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Assisting with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms for school events.
• Supporting health and safety procedures across the school site.
• Maintaining outdoor areas and ensuring the school grounds are presentable.
• Responding to general site issues and supporting the wider school team.

✅ We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has previous caretaking, facilities, maintenance or site-management experience, ideally.
• Is practical, proactive and confident carrying out general maintenance tasks.
• Has a strong awareness of health and safety.
• Is reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Can work independently and manage their workload effectively.
• Has a flexible approach to supporting the day-to-day running of a school.
