Do you enjoy supporting younger pupils as they develop their reading, writing and confidence in the classroom?

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for KS1 Teaching Assistants in Warrington interested in working within local primary schools.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant in Warrington, you could support children in Year 1 and Year 2, working alongside teachers to develop pupils' early literacy, numeracy and independent learning skills.

What could your role involve?

  • Supporting phonics, reading and writing activities

  • Helping pupils develop early maths skills

  • Delivering small-group and individual interventions

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement

  • Supporting children with different learning abilities

  • Working closely with teachers and support staff

What you'll need

  • Experience working with primary-aged children

  • Knowledge of phonics and the KS1 curriculum is desirable

  • A patient, enthusiastic and supportive approach

  • Strong communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
