SEND Learning Support Assistant - Barnet

January 2027 Start | £95-£115 per day | Full-time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a specialist SEND school in Barnet that supports pupils with complex learning difficulties and additional needs. The school is looking for caring, committed Learning Support Assistants to join its team from January 2027.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of needs, helping them develop communication, independence and essential life skills in a supportive educational environment.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex SEND.

  • Support pupils with PMLD, physical disabilities, communication difficulties and other additional needs.

  • Assist with personal care where required.

  • Support pupils using sensory activities and individualised learning approaches.

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff.

  • Help create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.

We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.

  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.

  • Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs and communication difficulties.

  • A willingness to support personal care where necessary.

  • Strong teamwork and a genuine passion for helping pupils reach their potential.
