Are you an experienced Year 6 Teacher looking for your next exciting challenge?
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with an established and ambitious primary school in the Ramsbottom area of Bury to recruit a confident and committed Year 6 Teacher.
The school has high aspirations for its pupils and places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, personal development and ensuring children are fully prepared for the transition to secondary school.
The successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards and confident delivering a challenging and engaging curriculum in the lead-up to end-of-Key-Stage assessments.
Key responsibilities:
Planning and delivering high-quality Year 6 lessons.
Preparing pupils for their end-of-Key-Stage assessments.
Delivering targeted interventions where appropriate.
Monitoring and tracking pupil progress.
Using assessment information to inform teaching and learning.
Supporting pupils with different abilities and additional learning needs.
Maintaining excellent classroom behaviour and high expectations.
Preparing pupils socially and academically for secondary education.
Communicating effectively with parents, colleagues and senior leaders.
We're looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status.
Has previous experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2.
Ideally has experience with Year 6 and SATs preparation.
Has excellent curriculum and assessment knowledge.
Demonstrates strong behaviour management.
Is resilient, organised and highly motivated.
Can inspire pupils to achieve their best.
