Primary Class Teacher & Maths Lead

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a primary school in North Finchley seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher to join their team from January 2027, with additional responsibility as Maths Lead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident primary practitioner who is passionate about mathematics and would enjoy taking on a wider role in developing maths teaching and learning across the school.

The Role:

  • Take responsibility for a primary class, delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Lead and support the development of mathematics across the school.

  • Promote high standards of teaching, learning and pupil achievement in maths.

  • Support colleagues with the planning and delivery of the maths curriculum.

  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to improving outcomes.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider teaching and leadership team.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Has experience teaching within a mainstream primary setting.

  • Has previous Maths Subject Lead or Maths Coordinator experience, or is ready to take on this responsibility.

  • Has a strong understanding of the primary maths curriculum.

  • Is confident supporting and developing colleagues.

  • Has a proactive approach and a genuine passion for improving teaching and learning.
