KS2 Year 4 Teacher - Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and inclusive primary school in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, which is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join its team immediately.

Starting after the October half-term, on Monday 2nd November 2026, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher to become part of a supportive school community where inclusion, pupil wellbeing and academic progress are at the heart of everything they do.

You will be responsible for teaching a small Year 4 class, with the assistance of a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) and Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The class includes pupils with additional learning needs, so a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential, particularly experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Global Developmental Delay.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• A strong understanding of SEN, particularly ASC and Global Developmental Delay.
• The ability to adapt lessons and learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Excellent behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
• A caring, patient and inclusive approach to teaching.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
