Position: Learning Mentor
Location: Greenwich, London
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support student development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to relevant parties.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify areas for intervention and support in line with individual student needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning through proactive intervention and encouragement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide strategies for student support and inclusion.
