Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenwich, London
Contract Type: Part-Time (Thursdays and Fridays)
Duration: Until July
Salary: £85-95 per day
Role Overview:
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children in the early years setting. Working closely with the nursery team, you will contribute to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the nursery staff in implementing a dynamic and engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of young children.
- Support children in their learning and development through a variety of activities, including play, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration.
- Foster positive relationships with children, providing encouragement, support, and guidance as they explore and learn.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure the holistic well-being of each child.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
- A warm and nurturing approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, early years education, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for this position.
