SEN Teaching Assistants - Barking & Dagenham

Location: Barking & Dagenham Borough
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist and mainstream schools with SEN provisions across Barking & Dagenham. These roles are ideal for professionals who have a strong background in supporting students with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Your Role Will Include:
- Assisting classroom teachers in delivering differentiated lessons
- Supporting individual pupils or small groups with EHCPs
- Helping pupils develop social skills, confidence, and emotional regulation
- Maintaining a safe and structured learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN
- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing approach
- Understanding of visual aids, sensory strategies, or learning interventions
