Tradewind Recruitment is working with forward-thinking secondary schools in Northampton who are seeking a committed and compassionate Inclusion Mentor to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's personal and academic progress.

As an Inclusion Mentor, you will work with students who may be experiencing challenges linked to special educational needs, social or emotional difficulties, low self-esteem, or attendance concerns. Your role will focus on helping students feel valued, included, and ready to engage with learning. This will involve one-to-one mentoring, small group interventions, and liaising with teaching and pastoral staff to ensure a consistent, supportive approach.

You'll be someone who builds positive, trusting relationships and understands the importance of listening, guiding, and modelling positive behaviour. While previous experience working with young people is essential, this role would suit someone from a range of backgrounds, including youth work, support work, or education.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and committed to inclusive education. You should be confident working independently while being a key member of the wider school support team. Knowledge of safeguarding practices, SEND, and mental health support would be an advantage.
