Teaching Assistant - Further Education
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Long-Term Role

Dynamic and inclusive colleges in Northampton are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. The roles are full-time, long-term supporting students aged 16-25 across a variety of academic and vocational pathways, including those with additional learning needs.
About the Role:
Supporting learners across a range of subjects, including maths, English, ICT, and vocational courses
Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students stay engaged and make progress
Assisting with study skills, assignment preparation, and classroom activities
Encouraging independence, confidence, and employability skills in line with individual learning plans
Working with students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Collaborating with tutors, SEN staff, and external professionals to ensure effective support
We're Looking For:
Someone with a passion for working with young adults in education or training
Calm, reliable, and supportive individuals with strong communication skills
Previous experience in education, SEN, youth work, or care is highly desirable
A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with students
An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education practices
