Science Teacher

Location: Kettering
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 teaching available depending on experience and interest)

  • Plan creative and inclusive lessons that support students of all abilities in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts

  • Make effective use of practical science, technology, and investigations to enhance learning experiences

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback

  • Participate in departmental planning and enrichment, including science clubs, trips, and STEM events

  • Work closely with colleagues to drive progress, share best practice, and support whole-school improvement

We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science

  • A strong understanding of the Science curriculum and effective teaching strategies

  • The ability to inspire students and make Science both accessible and exciting

  • High expectations for all learners, with a commitment to raising achievement and nurturing curiosity

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • A reflective and collaborative approach to teaching and professional development

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply - comprehensive induction and mentoring will be provided
