Learning Support Assistants - Secondary Schools - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time | Term Time Only | Long-Term / Permanent Opportunities
Salary: £90-£115 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are working in partnership with several inclusive and well-regarded secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their teams from September 2025.
These long-term or permanent positions offer the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students, particularly those with special educational needs, social-emotional challenges, or learning difficulties. Whether you're an experienced LSA, a recent graduate, or someone with youth work or care experience, this is a fantastic way to become part of a school community and build a fulfilling education career.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom, small-group, and one-to-one support to students with additional learning needs
Support pupils with EHCPs, learning difficulties, behavioural needs, or SEMH challenges
Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
Adapt learning materials and support engagement in lessons across a range of subjects
Promote independence, resilience, and confidence in students
Track progress and help maintain accurate records to support SEND provision

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Previous experience in a school, youth, care, or support setting
A positive, proactive approach to working with young people
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Patience, empathy, and emotional intelligence
A willingness to learn and contribute to the wider school community
A clear understanding of safeguarding and student welfare (training provided)
Graduates with an interest in education, psychology, youth work or SEND are encouraged to apply.
