We are working with a number of secondary schools across Northampton who are looking to appoint talented and enthusiastic Science Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These are full-time roles, with both long-term and permanent positions available, depending on your preference and experience.

Whether your expertise lies in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we welcome applications from teachers who are committed to delivering excellent science education and helping students reach their full potential.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities for A-Level teaching if desired

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and accessible lessons for mixed-ability learners

  • Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and intervention where needed

  • Foster curiosity, confidence and independent learning through well-structured teaching

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and school-wide enrichment activities

  • Support the school's ethos of inclusivity, high standards and mutual respect

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent

  • Confident delivering Science across the secondary age range

  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more science disciplines

  • Effective classroom management and a positive, student-focused approach

  • Committed to professional development and collaborative working

  • Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs
