We are working with a number of vibrant and inclusive secondary schools across Northampton, all of which are looking to welcome a Music Teacher to their departments from September 2025. These are full-time teaching roles, with options for either long-term or permanent appointments based on your preferences and career path.

What You'll Be Doing:
Deliver engaging and well-structured Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities in some schools
Cover a broad range of content, from performance and composition to listening and appraisal
Use instruments, technology, and software to bring lessons to life and enhance learning outcomes
Encourage student participation in ensembles, choirs, school productions, and extra-curricular music clubs
Support coursework and exam preparation for GCSE and/or A-Level Music
Help shape the department's curriculum and contribute to whole-school performances and events
Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that nurtures creativity and confidence
Who We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with a strong grounding in music education
Confident teaching a range of musical styles, instruments, and theory across secondary age groups
Comfortable using music tech such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, GarageBand, or Sibelius
Able to engage and motivate learners of all abilities through interactive, practical teaching
Strong classroom management and a commitment to fostering a love of music in every student
Open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners with a track record in Music education
