We are working with a number of well-regarded secondary schools across Northampton seeking committed French Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These full-time positions offer both permanent and long-term contracts, perfect for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) ready to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5 in some schools

  • Develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through creative and interactive teaching methods

  • Foster an appreciation of French language and Francophone cultures, inspiring students to explore global perspectives

  • Use a variety of resources and technologies to enhance learning and maintain student motivation

  • Assess student progress effectively, providing timely feedback and support to boost achievement

  • Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with the modern languages team to enrich the department's offer

  • Lead or support extracurricular activities such as language clubs, trips, or cultural events

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge of the French language and curriculum requirements

  • Ability to deliver differentiated lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A passion for promoting language learning and cultural understanding

  • Collaborative and adaptable, willing to contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives

  • Suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners
