We are partnering with several well-established secondary schools in Northampton that are eager to recruit dedicated Geography Teachers for the academic year starting September 2025. These full-time roles offer a variety of contract types including permanent and long-term positions, suitable for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-planned Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 in some settings

  • Plan lessons that cover both physical and human geography, integrating practical skills such as map reading, data analysis, and fieldwork

  • Encourage critical thinking through case studies and current global issues including sustainability, climate change, and urban development

  • Use innovative teaching methods, including technology and project-based learning, to make geography relevant and exciting

  • Support the department with curriculum development and collaborate on school-wide humanities initiatives

  • Inspire students to develop independent research skills and a lifelong interest in the subject

  • Get involved with extracurricular activities such as geography clubs, competitions, and potentially field trips

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject expertise in Geography and knowledge of the UK curriculum

  • Ability to deliver differentiated lessons tailored to a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Enthusiasm for encouraging students' intellectual curiosity and global awareness

  • Collaborative mindset, open to contributing to departmental and whole-school projects

  • Suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced professionals
