We're a specialist education recruitment agency currently seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in schools across Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and make a lasting impact on the lives of children with a wide range of complex learning needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities, and social-emotional challenges.
The Role:
Supporting students with complex learning needs in classroom and one-to-one settings
Helping pupils engage with the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver tailored support plans
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) - particularly complex needs - is desirable, but not essential
A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic school environment
Enhanced child only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Moving & Handling, PECS, Makaton) is a bonus
