This is a temporary role with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent position, offering a clear pathway for a secure and rewarding career. We're looking for someone to start in October 2025 or sooner.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a key member of a supportive and collaborative team. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide personalised support to students, helping them to re-engage with education, build their confidence, and achieve their full potential. This isn't a traditional classroom setting; we focus on small group work, tailored learning plans, and a holistic approach to student well-being.

Whether you have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or you are looking for your first role in education, we want to hear from you. The most important qualities are empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help young people succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Student Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in and out of the classroom.

  • Behavior Management: Help to create a positive and safe learning environment by supporting students with their social and emotional needs.

  • Collaboration: Work alongside teachers and other support staff to deliver engaging lessons and implement individual education plans.

  • Mentoring: Be a positive role model and mentor for students, helping them to develop essential life skills and self-esteem.

Who We're Looking For

  • Patience and Empathy: The ability to understand and respond to the needs of students who may have faced challenges in mainstream education.

  • Resilience: A calm and determined approach to handling challenging situations.

  • A Team Player: The ability to work effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

  • A Desire to Learn: A willingness to engage in training and professional development.
