Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in central Bolton. This role is to cover from after the October half-term until the end of the academic year.
The school is easily accessible by both public transport and car, offering a supportive environment where children are eager to learn. The leadership team are committed to high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring that staff feel well supported and valued.
This is a full-time class teaching role with full responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing the Year 1 curriculum. The school requires someone with recent classroom experience in Key Stage 1, who is confident with the teaching of early reading, phonics, writing and number skills.
Please note: the school is unable to support an ECT induction for this post, so applicants must hold QTS and have recent, relevant teaching experience.
The successful candidate will:
Be a fully qualified teacher with QTS
Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum
Show strong behaviour management strategies and high expectations for learning
Deliver engaging and creative lessons to inspire young learners
Be a reflective practitioner who contributes positively to the wider school community
