Primary Teacher - Maternity Cover (Including Year 5 Responsibilities)

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking to appoint a committed and adaptable Primary Teacher to join a supportive school community in central Bolton. This position is to cover an upcoming maternity leave, starting in December 2025 (or earlier if possible) and running until the end of the academic year, 17th July 2026.

This is a varied role which will include general cover across the school as well as taking on partial class teacher responsibilities within Year 5. The school are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic professional who can confidently engage pupils across different year groups and adapt their teaching style to suit a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified teacher (QTS essential)

  • Have recent, relevant classroom teaching experience across Key Stages 1 and/or 2

  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and excellent behaviour management strategies

  • Show the ability to work flexibly across different year groups

  • Take responsibility for teaching and assessing in Year 5, ensuring strong progress and outcomes

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers
