Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Contract Type: Long-term contract (term-time only)

We are working with a number of secondary schools in Tower Hamlets who are seeking dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentors to join their pastoral teams on a long-term contract basis.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students to overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning. You'll work closely with pastoral staff, teachers, and parents to promote positive attitudes, improve engagement, and help students succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Building positive, trusting relationships with students who require additional behavioural support
Providing one-to-one and small-group mentoring sessions
Supporting students in lessons and around the school to encourage positive choices
Assisting with the implementation of behaviour management strategies and intervention programmes
Working closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and external agencies to support student progress
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual behaviour plans
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
Passionate about helping young people achieve success
Calm, patient, and resilient when dealing with challenging situations
A strong communicator and positive role model
Experienced in working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting
Able to work effectively as part of a wider pastoral and inclusion team
