Cover Supervisor - Kettering
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Full-time / Part-time roles available
£90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and confident individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Kettering and surrounding areas.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You won't be required to teach or plan lessons-your role is to supervise students, ensure the set work is completed, and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes across KS3 and KS4

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students stay on task

  • Supporting students where needed with their learning

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable (e.g., as a tutor, youth worker, teaching assistant, or sports coach)

  • A confident and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A degree or Level 3 qualification is advantageous but not essential

  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind
