Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Kettering
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
Pay: £85-£95 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a vibrant secondary school in Kettering, known for its strong emphasis on the arts, to recruit a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting immediately, with the potential to continue for the rest of the academic year.

The Role:

You will support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), both in the classroom and through targeted one-to-one or small group sessions. Working closely with teaching staff and the SEN department, you'll help students build confidence, stay engaged in learning, and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with EHCPs and other additional needs

  • Help deliver engaging lessons and adapt resources where necessary

  • Encourage and promote inclusion within the classroom

  • Monitor and track progress, reporting back to the SENCo and teachers

  • Support behaviour management in a positive and respectful way

We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach to supporting learning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine interest in education and inclusion - a passion for the arts is a bonus!

  • Knowledge of SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia etc.) is helpful but not essential
