Attendance and Wellbeing Officer - Northamptonshire

Full-Time | Term Time Only
Pay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive secondary school in Northamptonshire that is seeking a committed and proactive Attendance and Wellbeing Officer to join their pastoral team.
This is a full-time, term-time only role, ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate approach, and a commitment to improving student outcomes through positive engagement and support.
The Role:
Monitor and improve student attendance and punctuality across the school
Work with students and families to understand and remove barriers to attendance
Conduct home visits and liaise with external agencies where appropriate
Support students with pastoral and emotional needs, referring to internal and external services as needed
Maintain accurate records and provide data/reports for senior leaders and the local authority
Promote a positive and inclusive school culture focused on wellbeing and safeguarding
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in a school, pastoral, safeguarding, or youth support role
A good understanding of attendance procedures and relevant safeguarding practices
Excellent communication and organisational skills
The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and professionals
A calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits (desirable)
