Travel and Tourism Lecturer
Location: Northampton

Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

A well-established Further Education college in Northampton is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Travel and Tourism Lecturer to join its vibrant Hospitality and Tourism team. This long term, full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to shape learners' futures in an exciting and dynamic sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, interactive lessons across a range of Travel and Tourism qualifications (Levels 2-4)

  • Teach theoretical concepts alongside practical skills relevant to the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries

  • Support learners' progression through thorough planning, assessment, and constructive feedback

  • Encourage awareness of sustainable tourism, customer service excellence, and current industry trends

  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the department

What We're Looking For:

  • A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Travel and Tourism or a closely related discipline

  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

  • Relevant industry experience or prior teaching/training experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support learners

  • A commitment to helping students progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an FE or training environment

  • Assessor or IQA qualifications
