This role involves working across a range of schools, including specialist provisions and mainstream settings, delivering tailored teaching and emotional support to pupils with additional needs. You'll play a key role in creating safe, nurturing learning environments where students can thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
Support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring all objectives are met effectively.
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies to promote holistic progress.
Foster positive behaviour strategies and build strong, trusting relationships with learners.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience working with SEMH pupils and those with EHCPs.
A nurturing, patient, and adaptable teaching style.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
