We're currently recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join a range of inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Northampton from October 2025. These roles are ideal for individuals who are committed to helping students reach their full potential-both academically and personally.
About the Role:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with classroom teachers and the wider support team to assist students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This could involve targeted 1:1 support, small group interventions, or in-class assistance-particularly for pupils with additional learning needs or SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum
Working with individuals and groups to support learning, behaviour, and engagement
Assisting students with special educational needs, EHCPs, or additional needs
Promoting positive behaviour and helping maintain a focused learning environment
Assisting with classroom routines, resources, and learning activities
Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Who We're Looking For:
Holders of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working with young people in a school or youth setting
Strong communication skills and a supportive, patient approach
Able to adapt to different learning needs and classroom dynamics
Confident, enthusiastic, and committed to making a difference
Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour strategies (training provided if needed)
