Job/Employability Tutor - SEN Schools (Daventry)

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire

Tradewind Recruitment are working with specialist schools in Daventry seeking an inspiring Job/Employability Tutors to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as they prepare for the next stage of education, training, or employment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated educator or vocational trainer who is passionate about helping young people gain essential workplace and life skills. You'll deliver tailored sessions that promote independence, self-confidence, and readiness for employment - making a tangible difference in every learner's journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging employability lessons that align with students' EHCP outcomes.

  • Teach key topics such as CV writing, interview preparation, teamwork, communication, and workplace behaviour.

  • Encourage students to recognise their strengths and explore future career options.

  • Support learners both in the classroom and through practical, hands-on learning activities.

  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and local employers to enrich student experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting or teaching SEN students in an educational or vocational environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills.

  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs.

  • A teaching, assessing, or training qualification is advantageous but not essential.
