Cover Supervisor - Daventry

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in our excellent partner secondary schools across Daventry. This is an ideal opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who enjoy working with young people and want to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher. Your role is to ensure students remain engaged, motivated, and on track with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Deliver pre-set work and ensure pupils remain focused.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and engagement.

  • Build positive relationships with students and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., as a tutor, mentor, or teaching assistant).

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • A confident, flexible, and professional approach.

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.

  • Degree-level qualification or relevant experience preferred.
