Location: Northampton, NN3
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner | Full-Time | Permanent or Long-Term

We are working closely with several welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Northampton (NN3 area) seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their teams from January 2026. Whether you are an experienced classroom practitioner or an ECT, both permanent and long-term opportunities are available.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Teaching engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with A-Level opportunities in some schools).

  • Inspiring students to enjoy literature, develop analytical skills, and express ideas confidently.

  • Adapting lessons to support all learners and raise attainment for every student.

  • Contributing to curriculum planning, assessments, and departmental development.

  • Encouraging participation in reading challenges, creative writing clubs, and other enrichment activities.

Who We're Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with a specialism in English Language or Literature.

  • Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4, with a track record (or potential) for strong exam results.

  • Excellent classroom presence, communication, and behaviour management skills.

  • A reflective and motivated educator who values teamwork and continuous improvement.

  • Suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) eager to make a positive impact.
