Supply Teacher - Secondary Schools (Northamptonshire)

About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teachers to support secondary schools across Northamptonshire. This role is perfect for qualified teachers, recently qualified teachers (NQTs), or experienced educators seeking flexible, rewarding work.

You will provide cover for absent teachers, support students' learning, and ensure continuity of teaching across a variety of subjects. Supply teaching offers the chance to gain valuable experience in different school environments while making a real impact on students' education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
Follow school policies for behaviour, safeguarding, and health & safety.
Adapt quickly to different school environments, subjects, and year groups.
Support school staff with any additional classroom duties as required.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred; NQTs and unqualified teachers with relevant experience are considered.
Ability to teach one or more secondary subjects confidently.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Flexibility and reliability to cover short-term or long-term assignments across Northamptonshire.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via Tradewind Recruitment.
