Are you a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a talented and compassionate SEN Maths Teacher to join one of our outstanding partner schools in Northampton.

This welcoming and well-resourced SEN school caters for students aged 11-18 with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students access mathematics in a way that builds confidence, promotes independence, and nurtures a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to individual needs.

  • Use a variety of strategies and resources to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all learners.

  • Monitor progress through effective assessment and provide meaningful feedback to students and parents.

  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and therapy teams to implement EHCP targets.

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching Maths to SEN pupils, ideally within a specialist or mainstream setting.

  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour management strategies.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs.
