About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Instructor to work in a secondary school in Northamptonshire. This role is ideal for educators, graduates, or professionals with strong maths knowledge who want to help students improve their skills and confidence in mathematics.

You will deliver engaging maths lessons and targeted interventions to support student progress across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students achieve their potential and develop a strong understanding of the subject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons and targeted support sessions.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet students' varying abilities and learning needs.

  • Support students' development of problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Adhere to school policies for safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety.

Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics (degree-level or equivalent preferred).

  • Experience working with secondary school students (teaching or tutoring experience desirable).

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Flexible and reliable, able to cover full-time or part-time assignments.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Tradewind Recruitment).
