Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Secondary School
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in the Kettering area who are seeking a motivated and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team and make a real impact on students' learning.
The Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
Provide targeted support to students across KS3 and KS4, helping them reach their academic goals
Lead small group intervention sessions to boost progress in key subjects
Support teachers with lesson planning, preparation and classroom management
Contribute to a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. classroom cover or unqualified teaching experience)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive, confident and flexible approach to classroom support
Good understanding of the secondary curriculum
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind)
