Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately-ideal for a graduate eager to gain valuable classroom experience and explore a future career in education.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to support lesson delivery, provide 1:1 and small group interventions, and help create a positive, engaging learning environment. This position offers excellent experience for those considering teacher training, educational psychology, or youth work.
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining classroom organisation
Work with students 1:1 or in small groups, including those with additional needs
Help prepare engaging learning materials and encourage active participation
Promote positive behaviour and support students' academic and social development
We're Looking For:
A recent graduate with a strong interest in education (any subject welcome)
A proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic approach
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
